- Determine water loss in a 24-hour period.
- Immerse bottle in hot water for 10-15 minutes. Shake well before use.
- Fill the pool to the original level and mark the water line.
- Bypass the filter before adding Fix A Leak.
Sand Filter: Set filter valve to recirculate.

- With the pump running, add Fix A Leak slowly through the skimmer or in front of any other suction intake.

- Fix A Leak is heavy and will sink to the lowest point rather quickly. It must be stirred back into suspemsion. This can be done manually using a pool broom or mechanically withan automated pool cleaner, every 4-6 hours during circulation of water.
- Continue to recirculate the water until the leak has stopped.
- Mark the level of water in the pool and check for 2-3 days to determine if the leak has stopped.
- After the leak has stopped and given 24 to 48 hours to cure return to normal filtration.
Sand Filters: Set the filter valve to filter and resume normal operation. Backwash out unused Fix A Leak as required.
Other types: Reinstall filter into tank and resume operation. Rinse out unused Fix A Leak from the filter as required.
